My HEART dog in every sense, sitting here thinking about what to say about Fergie and all the special moments we shared is pretty overwhelming, there are just too many to mention. For most people who are blessed to share their lives with dogs and have that one that is just that little more special than others - Fergie was that for me.

She was one of the few Siberians I could trust completely off lead, we had many adventures on the beach, in the forest and she reveled in the freedom but never went too far. She picked up on my moods and instinctively knew what I needed whether it was her head on my lap or just to lay next to me - she was my everything.

Unfortunately 2022 started off badly for us and we had to make the decision to send Fergie off to the rainbow bridge, her back legs were failing her and her quality of life deteriorated.  She meant more to us than to watch her suffer. It is something I still have not gotten over and I doubt I ever will.

Besides the amazing companion Fergie was to me she excelled in all parts of her life and as fellow exhibitors would testify to, was a legend in the breed.

Her many achievements in the showring were winning Multiple Best in Shows (all breeds), Best in Specialty Shows (Working & Herding Clubs), she won RBISS twice at the Siberian Husky Club of Gauteng's specialty shows - the 2nd time from the veteran class and reserve to her grand-daughter Holly. What a special memory that was.

As a veteran , Fergie's achievements were extraordinary. She won a total of 30+ BVIS & RBVIS (all breeds).

She was a dog that would enter the ring and could be trusted to give it her all. She also obtained her KUSA Canine Good Citizen (Bronze) title.

In the whelping box, Fergie is the foundation of what we have now - She was such a beautiful example of the breed, and has defintely left her mark on what we currently have and what we strive towards. Her stable, confident and gentle nature is seen in all of her progeny and is the reason we have such excellent temperaments.

Her memory will live on in our hearts and all those who were fortunate to know her.

Thank you my Fergie Fergs for everything, you were what my heart & soul needed and until we meet again please know we miss you every day and love you with all of our hearts.
